CiAIS Online
CiAIS can be played online in several ways:
Using Freeform
Using Apple's Freeform app, you can play CiAIS on any device running iOS 16.2+
Unfortunately, this requires you to have an apple device.
Using some other online collaborative whiteboard
Epistolary CiAIS using e-mail (see CiAIS::Variants::Epistolary)
Mini CiAIS
Mini CiAIS revolves around a smaller map. Instead of a world map split into three theatres, the map can be of any region of any size and split into as many theatres as you want. Instead of using a lat/long system, a specific coordinate grid should be created for the map so that it still makes sense with the unit values. Units may be modified to be easier to play with in these variants.
Mini CiAIS may be played online, or using a physical map.
Epistolary CiAIS
Epistolary (via letters) CiAIS relies on a referee to update a central map, and players to send the referee their moves and bank changes. This can be done over any form of communication, be it letters, emails or instant messengers. This has the advantage of not requiring all players to be present at all times, and gives players much more time to think about their moves.

Painfully Complex
Painfully Complex CiAIS is CiAIS taken to the extreme. Different movement multipliers for different types of land, a more realistic economy, trade agreements, allyship, diplomacy and progression. It is still a work in progress. When completed, it should be available at CiAIS::Advanced.
